Serious steps have been taken between South Ossetia and Russia in terms of integration, President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov said at a meeting with a delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

From the beginning of next week, we begin to send officers to the duty stations — the first 29 people will begin to serve in the formations and units of the 58th army.

South Ossetia’s Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseev received a delegation from the Russian Defense Ministry led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Sergei Istrakov. The delegation arrived in Tskhinval to address topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere.

The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, heads of various departments.

President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, is planning to visit the Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF), within the framework of which the Cooperation Agreement will be signed with the Republic of Crimea. The head of state announced this during a meeting with a delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which arrived in the Republic on a working visit.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, the information sessions for representatives of the armed and security forces were organized by the representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic.

International Film Festival SIFF 2019 aroused great interest of the audience. The festival is taking place the third day. During these days, viewers had the opportunity to see 30 short films.

President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, is convinced that the parliamentary elections in the Republic will be calm.

"I am convinced that the elections will be calm here. In fact, we cannot falsify the voting results. No one doubts their honesty," said Anatoly Bibilov in an interview with Ossetia news agency, which was published on the president’s website on Friday.

The Russian version of Forbes magazine has launched an annual rating of “30 to 30”, within which it will determine the worthiest Russians under the age of 30. These are entrepreneurs, managers, athletes, musicians, scientists.

“Our heroes are those who, by the age of 30, gained recognition in the professional community and became known at the All-Russian or even global level,” the official website Forbes reported.

The (47th round of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia was held on April 2-3 in Geneva. The delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA, as well as representatives of the EU, UN and OSCE took part in them.

During the Geneva discussions, South Ossetia appealed to international organizations to influence Georgia on the issue of searching for missing citizens of the republic, since the Georgian side does not follow the recommendations of an independent expert invited to investigate. The head of the South Ossetian delegation, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for post-conflict settlement issues Murat Dzhioev informed the news agency “Res” on Thursday.

The next (47) round of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia took place on April 2-3 in Geneva.
