The attacks on civilian targets where families with children were vacationing are a demonstration of the absolute inhumanity and moral degradation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the message of condolence from Aelita Dzhioeva, the Children's Rights Commissioner for South Ossetia.

"This latest tragedy, which took the lives of eight civilians, including two children, and injured three more children in Zaporozhye region, brings deep pain to our hearts.

Over the past period, South Ossetia has recorded the over flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from Georgia. This was reported by Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation, while sharing with journalists the results of the IPRM meeting held on Thursday in the village of Ergnet.

According to Yegor Kochiev, the South Ossetian side carefully records all such incidents, but a full investigation requires the most accurate data possible.

Today marks the 8th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.

In its congratulatory message on this occasion, the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the signing ceremonies of bilateral documents held in Damascus on July 22 and 23, 2018, laid the legal foundation for political, economic, and cultural cooperation between South Ossetia and Syria.

The situation on the South Ossetian-Georgian border will be discussed on Thursday at the meeting within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM).

The key topic of discussion in Ergnet will once again be the removal of the Georgian police post from the South Ossetian village of Uista, set up in late August 2019.

The participants will also analyze the current border security situation and review statistics on violations recorded since the previous meeting.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry called the statement on behalf of the European Union regarding Brussels' intentions to "work" with the Syrian People's Assembly to reconsider Damascus's sovereign decisions and to pressure the Syrian leadership to reverse its recognition of the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

A working meeting between Minister of Education and Science of South Ossetia Aslan Lolaev and Minister of Education and Science of North Ossetia Ella Alibekova took place in Vladikavkaz.

“During the meeting, the heads of departments discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of general, additional and vocational education. The parties paid special attention to the implementation of joint projects,” the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic has noted.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev congratulated Nicaraguan Foreign Ministers Denis Moncada Colindres and Waldrack Ludwig Jentzke Whitaker on the Day of the People's Sandinista Revolution.

The Republic is celebrating the 47th anniversary of its main national holiday on Sunday, according to the congratulatory message.

А meeting was held in Moscow between the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia, Jesús Salazar Velázquez, the Foreign Ministry's press service reports.

"The parties exchanged views on the situation in South Ossetia and Venezuela and expressed their mutual commitment to the further development of the South Ossetian-Venezuelan relations," the press service has noted.

A South Ossetian delegation took part in a celebratory event at the Nicaraguan Embassy in Moscow dedicated to the 47th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution.

The reception was attended by South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev, the Republic's Ambassador to Russia Znaur Gassiev, and the Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to Nicaragua Narim Kozaev, the diplomatic service's press service reported.

Astamur Katsia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Abkhazia, presented his credentials to the Republic's President, Badra Gunba. This was reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The President has noted that Abkhazia and South Ossetia are bound by historically fraternal relations based on a shared destiny, mutual respect, and long-standing support, and wished the Ambassador success in his responsible diplomatic mission aimed at strengthening friendly ties between the states," the statement reads.
