President Anatoly Bibilov has received a delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia, which arrived in South Ossetia as international observers for the presidential elections in South Ossetia, the press service of the head of state reported.
The delegation has included representatives of the deputy corps, the Public Chamber and the RA CEC.
The RA Ambassador to South Ossetia Alan Elbakiev also took part in the meeting.
In South Ossetia on Sunday, at 8 am, polling stations opened, the presidential elections have started.
As the CEC Secretary Kristina Avlokhova told the “Res” news agency, “the activity of voters is observed at the polling stations, according to the information coming from the polling stations from the remote villages, the voting process has begun there.”
Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia is serving in an enhanced version. All polling stations of the Republic are under protection.

After welcoming the guest, the President briefed him on the procedure for elections in South Ossetia, stressing that they are democratic and transparent.
President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov has received a delegation from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which arrived in the Republic as international observers for the presidential election.
The delegation has included Leonel Enrique Parica Hernandez, Deputy Head of the National Electoral Council of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and Jose Leonardo González Saavedra, Advisor to the Office of the Chairman of the National Electoral Council of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov has received the Official Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic in Italy Mauro Murgia, who arrived as an international observer for the presidential elections.
Greeting the guest, Anatoly Bibilov noted Mauro Murgia's contribution to the development of bilateral relations and thanked him for advancing the interests of South Ossetia in Italy, the press service of the head of state reported.
President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov met with members of the delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, headed by a member of the RF Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Sergei Tsekov, who arrived in the Republic as international observers for the presidential election, the press service of the head of state reported.
