A citizen of South Ossetia, Anatoly Kisiev, was wounded in the borderline village of Diseu (Tskhinvali district). As reported by duty officer of the RSO MoI, Kisiev and his son were shot at by Georgian policemen at the checkpoint deployed in the village of Koshki (Georgia). " A group of men in uniforms and balaclavas, armed with machine guns shot at Kisiev and his son in the outskirts of Diseu village. Kisiev received three wounds and was urgently evacuated to the Republican Hospital in Tskhinval", reported the Interior Ministry.

Geneva discussions on security in South Caucasus are stalemated, reported the Plenipotentiary for Post-Conflict Settlement in his phone conversation with the RES Information Agency. The sides could reach any agreement at the 11th round of discussions in Geneva on the elaboration of a paper that would guarantee non-use of force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia. "The main issue focused upon at the discussions was the non-use of force. However, as it could have been expected the Georgian side and its supporters started a more openly express their viewpoint that there is no need in elaboration of the draft paper when there is already Medvedev-Sarkozy agreements. The South Ossetian Delegation left for Geneva to participate in the 11th round of discussions on security in the Caucasus. The Delegation is headed by the Plenipotentiary for Post-Conflict Settlement to the President of RSO Boris Chochiev. As the Office of the Plenipotentiary informed the Info-Agency RES, the delegation includes the RSO Foreign Minister Murat Djioev, State Advisor Konstantin Kochiev, Plenipotentiary for Human Rights David Sanakoev and Deputy Plenipotentiary for Post-Conflict Settlement Merab Chigoev.

On 3 June 2010, a duty detachment of the RF FSB Border Guard Department in South Ossetia detained Nugzar Georgievich Tokadze (1960), a Georgian citizen, resident of Gori district for attempted illegal border-crossing in the Ossetian village of Kitriuli (Tuatikau), Leningor district. Once the fact of illegal border-crossing was confirmed, Tokadze was handed over by the Russian border-guards to the RSO KGB Border-Guard Service for further proceedings.

Today, on 3 June, an unofficial ad hoc meeting within the frameworks of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism was took place in the Georgian village of Ergneti.
"Representatives of South Ossetia, Georgia, OSCE and EUMM took part in the meeting. The agenda included only two questions: the findings of the interim report of Council of Europe independent experts investigating the abduction of South Ossetian citizens by Georgian law enforcers and discussions of these findings in question-answer manner", reported Deputy Plenipotentiary for Post-Conflict Settlement Merab Chigoev. According to him, as a result of Geneva discussions on security in South Caucasus and meetings between the South Ossetian Plenipotentiary for Human Rights David Sanakoev and CoE Commissioner for Human Rights Tomas Hammarberg, an agreement was reached that independent international experts would be assigned to look into the cases of missing South Ossetians. "We speak about citizens, who, according to verified information, were kept by Georgian law enforcement bodies in 2008", said Chigoev.

South Ossetia is going to raise at the forthcoming round of discussions in Geneva on security in South Caucasus the issue of Georgia's fulfillment of Medvedev-Sarkozy agreements. "The Georgian delegation backed by its supporters, the Co-Chairs of Geneva discussions and the United States delegation, tries to avoid the discussion of legally-binding document on non-use of force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia", stated the head of the South Ossetian delegation to Geneva discussions, Plenipotentiary for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev. He assess the categorical refusal of the Georgian authorities to sign this document with South Ossetia and Abkhazia as a violation of Medvedev-Sarkozy agreements.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia disseminated a statement in relation to the "statement" of President Eduard Kokoity published in media. The statement reads: "On 1 June 2010, some electronic media sources placed a statement allegedly signed by the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity.

Today, South Ossetia celebrates the International Children's Days. The President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity stated that special importance is attached to this day. "This day is certainly one of the most remarkable holidays. A special importance is attached to the International Children's Day. It is important here because in South Ossetia children belong to a war generation. We should every day think about and take care of the growing up generation|, said President Kokoity.
"We should create better conditions for young families, so that the children could get their educations in full compliance with world standards, so that they are not deprived of anything. Our children should live in a prosperous country", said the president.

The independent exerts assigned by the Council of Europe (CoE) continue their work in Tskhinval focusing on the circumstances of the abduction of South Ossetians. "During the day on 25 May, CoE expert Bruce Pegg was in Tskhinval. He had several working discussions with representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office", reported the Plenipotentiary for Human Rights David Sanakoev. "In their meetings, the CoE experts receive information on the circumstances of South Ossetian citizens' seizure", said Sanakoev.
