On March, 14th the meeting of the co-chairman of the south-ossetian part of JCC Boris Chochiev with the assistant of the head of the Mission of OSCE in Georgia Mr.Veselin Nikolaev and the head of the Tskhinval office of the Mission of OSCE Mr.Bozhidar Dimitrov took place. The questions of the forthcoming meeting of the co-chairmen of JCC in Istanbul were discussed at the meeting. The meeting will be held under the initiative of the mission of OSCE.
As it is known, the agreement on carrying out of the meeting of the co-chairmen of JCC from March, 21st till March, 23rd in Istanbul has been reached earlier. The main condition that has been set by the south-ossetian side was the acceptance in Istanbul of the decision on carrying out of the plenary session of JCC in Tskhinval or in Tbilisi.
Besides, the question on signing of the agreements on the activity of OSCE in South Ossetia Republic was also touched at the meeting.
The acting Memorandum on interaction was signed in 1993 between the personal representative of the Operating chairman of OSCE and the management of South Ossetia Republic. Since then the essential changes in questions of settlement of the georgian-ossetian mutual relations have occurred, therefore the signing of new agreements between OSCE and South Ossetia Republic is required.
Mr.Veselin Nikolaev has supported the suggestions of Boris Chochiev, that it would be necessary to hand over to the south-ossetian party the official proposals concerning the project of agreements.
