The two inhabitants of Georgia, detained by the Russian peacemakers on Tuesday at a post near the settlement of Megvrekisi, are already released. The correspondent of the agency «Res» has been informed about it by the assistant of the commander of JPKF the lieutenant colonel Juriy Vereshchak.
The citizens of Georgia have been detained in the second half of the day on September, 11th at the check point «Мegvrekisi» of the peace-making forces, at which the Russian military men carry service.
« On checking the documents and examining the car of the citizens of Georgia Midodashvili and Khamidashvili, they have shown physical resistance to the peacemakers. As a result of that, one of the military men has received physical injuries », the lieutenant colonel Juriy Vereshchak has informed.
To his words, the command of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces « considers the given actions on the half of the citizens of Georgia as a provocation against the peace-making forces ».
He has informed that the detained have been delivered to the commandant"s office of the joint staff of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces for further trial. It has been held by the observers from three parties and the representatives of the mission of OSCE. After carrying out of a monitoring the detained have been released.
