By placing this checkpoint we try to stop illegal movement of representatives of special services and government employees of Georgia on our territory, as well as looting of valuables belonging to the Ossetian people”, said Tanaev.
Referring to statements of the Georgian side that “Ossetians had occupied two Georgian villages Karzmani and Tbeti which are located near Perevi”, the Minister stated that “the inhabitants of eight houses on the right side of the road and where the Russian checkpoint is located, stated that they are living in the village of Karzman, Sinagur village administration in Djava district of South Ossetia. It is written in their Georgian passports that they are residents of Djava district, which is a part of the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia. Let Georgians deal with the problems on their own territory and not sneak into our territory and loot the Ossetian people”, stated the Minister.
