The Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Murat Djioev sent an official letter to Hansjorg Haber, the Head of the EUMM in Georgia.
As reported the MFA Press-Service, Murat Djioev addressed an appeal to objectively assess the situation evolving in the area of responsibility of the EUMM to use all means available within the EUMM mandate to ensure security of the Republic of South Ossetia and prevent a new escalation of tension in the region.
The RSO Foreign Minister stated that "the received information proved concerns over the probability of Georgia's masterminding a series of steps to destabilize the situation scheduled for the 1st anniversary of Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia in August 2008 and the events dedicated to this tragedy".

Murat Djioev stressed that there were sound reasons to talk about Georgia's intentioned aggravating the situation in the areas adjacent to the borderline with South Ossetia and provoking new pockets of tension along the Georgian-Ossetian borderline. Additionally, the RSO Foreign Minister reminded that inaction of the OSCE Mission to Georgia deployed in the zone of conflict a year ago passively observing Georgia's preparations for armed invasion of South Ossetia, was one of the factors allowing the Georgian authorities to commit armed aggression against our country
