South Ossetian Delegation will participate in the Eighth Round of the Geneva Talks

South Ossetian Delegation has left for Geneva to participate in the 8th Round of the Geneva Discussions on Security and stability in the Caucasus, reported the Head of South Ossetian delegation to the Geneva discussions Boris Chochiev.
According to him, “the eighth round of the consultations on security and stability in South Caucasus (Geneva discussions), which will take place on 11 November in Geneva, will focus on the elaboration of a draft agreement on non-use of force, and work on basic elements of non-use of force papers as well as international security arrangements.”

“The aim is to elaborate draft agreements on non-use of force. The discussion will also focus on the missing persons, refugees and other humanitarian issues”, he added. The South Ossetian side will raise the issue on the efficiency of the Mechanisms for Incident Prevention and Response and that of the working groups’ meetings, since we do not see any results from these meetings”, said Chochiev. The previous 7th round of consultations took place in September. Delegations of South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Russia, Georgia, the United States, as well as representatives of the EU, UN and OSCE equally participate in the discussions. The South Ossetian delegation is presided by the Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev, The Delegation also includes the RSO Minister for Foreign Affairs Murat Djioev, the State Advisor to the RSO President Konstantin Kochiev, Human Rights Commissioner David Sanakoev, Deputy Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Merab Chigoev.
