The Leader of the South-Ossetian group within the framework of the Mechanisms for prevention and reaction on the incidents at the boundary of RSO (MPRI) Merab Chigoev has made a statement concerning the transferring of the meetings of this size from the village Ergneti, where they had been conducted for a long time, into the other place, has informed the official site of the Plenipotentiary of the President of RSO for questions of the post conflict settlement. Merab Chigoev explained that the position of South Ossetia remained the same one.
"While the village Ergneti is considered the so named ''zone of NATO’’, the south-ossetian delegation will not take part in the work of the meetings", - has declared Chigoev. He also noted that this was not the first and the single attempt of the Georgian authorities to frustrate the work in the size of MPRI". It is well known, that at the end of 2009, after the repeated warnings of the representatives of South Ossetia concerning the inactivity of the georgian side and also the observers of EU for question of clearing up the fate of the citizens of the RSO Alan Khachirov, Alan Khugaev and Soltan Pliev, who are considered the lost in action, but actually – being kidnapped by the georgian law-enforcement bodies in October 13, 2008, - we had to suspend our participation in the work of MPRI", - has emphasized Chigoev. How Chigoev considers, only due to the objective conclusions of the independent experts, invited by the Supreme Commissar of the European Council m-r Thomas Hammarbergom for monitoring of the process of investigation on fact of clearing up the fate of the three citizens of the RSO, the work in this size has been resumed." The South-Ossetian side counted on, that the recommendations of the commission of Mr. Thomas Hammarbergom on clearing up the fate of the missing citizens of the RSO would be carried out by the georgian side, - has declared Chigoev. - Today with regret we have to ascertain that the Georgian side has not undertaken any actions on clearing up the fate of these boys, moreover, as it has been already noted, they tried again to frustrate the work of MPRI having opened the «pioneer camp" under the name "zone of NATO" at the venues of conducting these meetings.
