Russia continues to render aid to the people of South Ossetia in adjustment of socio-economic life. This has been announced by the Minister of foreign affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov in the course of the meeting with the President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity in Tskhinval.
Sergey Lavrov has noted the steady allied and fraternal relations have being established between the RF and the RSO. "We shall develop and strengthen these relations in every way, help to reconstruct the destroyed in the result of the Georgian aggression. We shall in the same way help to adjust the socio-economic life of people, who have deserved peace, tranquility and prosperity", - has said Lavrov. In turn, Eduard Kokoity has noted that having acknowledged the independence of South Ossetia, Russia has done all to rescue the ossetian people.
"People of South Ossetia are very much obliged to Russia for its aid in liquidation of consequences after the georgian aggression, and also for aid in international acknowledgment of the Republic and further rendering of assistance to our country", - has noted Kokoity. The Head of the State has emphasized that, in spite of the international financial crisis and the natural cataclysms, the RF has carried out the taken obligations on reconstruction of the RSO in full. Remind that the meeting of Sergey Lavrov with the leadership of the RSO and the signing of some important joint agreements are also scheduled. Besides, according to the schedule of the visit the russian delegation will lay flowers on the memorial of the perished heroes near the schools №5, will examine the construction complex of the RF embassy in the RSO, as well as the stadium and sports complex named after Alina Kabaeva. Sergey Lavrov is also intending to visit the micro-district "Moscovskiy". The high-ranking official is accompanied by the Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Albania Taymuraz Mamsurov, the Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of Russia Grigoriy Karasin, the Chief of the fourth department of the CIS countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrey Kelin and the Ambassador of the RF in the RSO Elbrus Kargiev.
