The changing political and military realities of the South Caucasus make it unlikely that implementation of the revanchist plans of the Georgian leadership and the military re-aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia. It has been declared by the South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity in his interview with the North Ossetian state company on television and radio "Alania".

"Apprehension of escalation of tension still exists. But South Ossetia is not the same as in August 2008, and there are the fourth military base and the Russian border guards in its territory in accordance with the interstate agreements, and it enables our people to live in peace "- the president has said. He has emphasized that South Ossetia will not maintain any contacts with the official Tbilisi as long as the head of Georgia is Mikhail Saakashvili, who has to stand trial in the international court for his crimes in August 2008. The President has mentioned the tremendous work carried out by the diplomatic corps of the Russian Federation on reducing tension in the region. "The Caucasus is also a little part of Europe. The sooner the EU and the U.S. understand this fact -the better. The Caucasus – is one of the most beautiful corners of the earth. And the sooner people come here to relax, rather than treat it as a hot point, the better for the Caucasus, for people who are living here, and for Europe "- Kokoity has conclud.
