A native of South Ossetia Barsag Kesaev is included in the top ten sportsmen of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in 2011. Kesaev is a master of sports of international class on freestyle wrestling. He performs in the weight category up to 120 kg. In January of this year, a wrestler from Tskhinval won the silver medal in one of the most prestigious international freestyle wrestling competition - "Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin", which is annually held in Krasnoyarsk. In May 2011 Kesaev took the second place in the championship of Russia, and then in autumn, being a member of the Russian national team, he won the World Cup and later the European Cup. The wrestler is 23 years old. Kesaev is a member of the Russian national team of wrestlers, as well as one of the candidates to the Olympic team, that will represent Russia at the XXX Olympic Games in summer of 2012 in London.

He is currently preparing for the upcoming international tournament -"Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin 2012", which will be held at the end of January. "I have to prepare seriously for this competition, so it will be attended by the strongest fighters from abroad - said the athlete. – Following the results of this tournament, the national team of the Russian Federation will be formed to participate in the European Championship in March, 2012. "According to Kesaev, in May he will take part in the championship of Russia, as a result of which the Russian national team composition will be forming for participating in the Olympic Games in London. It should be noted that currently Kesaev lives and trains in North Ossetia. His mentor is the honored coach of Russia Marik Tedeev.
