A joint meeting of the Government of South Ossetia with the interagency working group that arrived in the country to see the results of implementation of the investment program to promote socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia in 2012-2013, has been held in Tskhinval. The meeting, chaired by President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov and Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, summed up the first results of the two-day work of the leadership of the South Ossetian ministries with colleagues from the relevant agencies and the Russian Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation on socio-economic cooperation with the CIS countries, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Rashid Nurgaliyev congratulated the people of South Ossetia on the past Republic Day, stressing that the atmosphere on September 20 celebrations and folk festivals testify the established trends in economic and political stability in the Republic .
"The task of our delegation is to work together with the core ministries of South Ossetia with a specific task to find a solution, which is so urgent for the people in different spheres. These tasks require a really fruitful cooperation, "- said Nurgaliyev.
During the meeting the heads of the ministries and the South Ossetian representatives of the Russian core agencies have reported on the joint meetings, held in Tskhinval and in the districts of the Republic, where the sides discussed the proposals and plans, which should form the basis for developing an integrated plan for socio- economic development of South Ossetia.
In general, Russian and South Ossetian officials have stressed the points of convergence solutions of major socio- economic problems, noting that the dispute arises only in minor details. One of the main issues that should be given maximum attention, almost all speakers called gaps and contradictions in the South Ossetian legislation. Therefore, as at the meeting of the core ministries, and at the today's final meeting, it was decided with the appropriate legal and methodological assistance of the Russian colleagues to draw up and submit to the parliament for approval the relevant bills, designed to bring the legislation of the Republic in accordance with the generally accepted norms of civilized modern and democratic state.
The work will be continued tomorrow, both in Tskhinval and during the visits to the districts of the Republic.
After the joint meeting Leonid Tibilov and Rashid Nurgaliyev conducted another one- with the heads of construction agencies and contractors involved in the work on the road Tskhinval- Leningor. The meeting dealt with the issues raised during the travel of the leadership of South Ossetia and the Russian members of the interdepartmental group to Leningorsky district of South Ossetia.
