There cannot be any economic relations between South Ossetia and Georgia, unless Georgia gives security guarantees. This has been declared by the RSO Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev at the briefing in Tskhinval.

According to him, this issue was discussed at the 21 round of the Geneva talks on security in Transcaucasia, held October 10-11.
"What about the economic cooperation, as indicated by the incoming government of Georgia, we have stated in Geneva that unless the people of South Ossetia have safety guarantee from Georgia, it is hard to imagine that between us may be any economic projects", - said Dzhioev.
He stressed that the development of economic relations would be possible only after the signing by Georgia of a legally binding document on the non-use of force against South Ossetia.
Dzhioev has added that at the Geneva talks South Ossetia once again called on Georgia to start cooperation on delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
"We have reminded that we established the Commission for delimitation and demarcation of the state border with Georgia, and have called on the Georgian side to work together", - said the envoy.
According to him, the Georgian side has previously used the term "administrative line" or "administrative border", this time they have mentioned the term "administrative boundary line."
"We have once again stated that it has no relation to our border with Georgia, which we consider the state border," - underlined Dzhioev.
