Geneva discussions are relevant to achieve solid security guarantees

In Tskhinval is under way a meeting of the OSCE, the UN, the EU and the South Ossetian co-chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia. As noted at the beginning of the meeting the head of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva talks, Presidential Envoy to the RSO for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev "in view of the lengthy process of discussions in Geneva, their importance, however, is not reduced."

"Until we see solid guarantees of security and provide the people of South Ossetia confidence that the events of August 2008 will not recur, the Geneva discussions are relevant," - said Dzhioev.
The tasks of the panelists are the same – to draw up a legally binding document on the non-use of force by the parties.
He has noted that South Ossetia is ready for full-scale work to ensure security in the region as a whole that, according to Dzhioev, is the aim of the Geneva talks.
The Envoy has expressed hope that at the 27 -round, scheduled for the end of March, will be achieved positive results, not only in matters of security, but also in addressing the closely related, humanitarian issues.
The UN co-Chair Antti Turunen said that the representatives of the international organizations participating in the Geneva discussions Dzhioev are also ready to discuss all the issues raised by the South Ossetian side.
"We hope that on the basis of today's consultations, will be taken right steps at the upcoming round of negotiations", - he said.
Then the meeting continued without the participation of the media.
The working visit of the co-chairs arrived in the Republic today, will last for two days. It is planned to visit the border area in the settlement of Ditsi and Leningor district of the Republic.
