"In his speech, Vladimir Putin expressed his attitude to the current world order and outlined the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of the Russian Federation in the conditions of sanctions against it by a number of Western countries," - said Leonid Tibilov.
People of South Ossetia share the concern of the Russian President in connection with the rapidly deteriorating international situation and fully support Moscow's efforts to normalize intergovernmental relations, a balanced domestic policy.
"We consider it unreasonable the restrictive measures against Russia and its individual companies and citizens, and such a policy as a whole - ineffective. Initiators and supporters of anti-Russian sanctions must understand that any self-respecting country, and especially the Great Russia - will not sacrifice its national interests for the sake of someone's political ambitions, "- said the president.
The history of the Russian state, as noted by Leonid Tibilov, shows that external pressure, threats, on the contrary, have the opposite effect.
"They unite Russians awake in them a heightened sense of patriotism. We believe that sanctions will not undermine the stability of the political system in Russia that is the objective of the West. The Russian people, even more united, will overcome the economic difficulties and will become even stronger, "- said the president.
He has stressed that in South Ossetia have no doubt that the anti-crisis measures of the Russian leadership announced today by President Putin will be implemented and will greatly contribute to the prosperity and greatness of the country.
