President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov has received the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik. During the meeting, the first persons discussed issues of bilateral relations between the countries.
Anatoly Bibilov greeted Leonid Pasechnik as the elected head of state, noting that the struggle of the people of the LPR was tense and, despite the difficulties, the people held out against the enemy.
“Recognizing the independence of the LPR and the DPR, we were guided by the right of people to self-determination. We were also guided by your program, which is fully aimed at rapprochement with the Russian Federation, and our people share this desire,” the head of South Ossetia said.
In turn, Leonid Pasechnik thanked for the invitation to visit South Ossetia. “Your people are as proud and friendly as your mountains. You are one of the first to recognize our independence, for which we are grateful. Our peoples have a lot in common and in the future will be increased cooperation and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, "said Pasechnik.
Anatoly Bibilov and Leonid Pasechnik exchanged memorable gifts.
Pasechnik presented Bibilov with the state award of the LPR - “Order of Friendship”.
"This Order of Friendship is under the number 1, as you first recognized our independence," - said the head of the LPR.
The delegation of the LPR has also included the Chairman of the People’s Council Denis Miroshnichenko, acting. Foreign Minister Vladislav Dainego, Adviser to the head of the LPR, Vladimir Chernev.
It should be reminded that the official visit of the head of the Lugansk People’s Republic Leonid Pasechnik to the Republic of South Ossetia will last until December 19. During the visit, will be signed the Agreement on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance.
In 2014, South Ossetia was the first state in the world to recognize the independence of the DPR and the LPR. Diplomatic relations have been established between Tskhinval and the republics.
In Donetsk and Lugansk there are representative offices of South Ossetia, in Tskhinval — representative offices of the DPR and LPR.
