A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in Italy, Mauro Murgia, took part in a rally in support of the people of Venezuela and its legitimately elected President Nicolas Maduro. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, the rally was held outside the Venezuelan embassy in Rome.
"The demonstration was attended by supporters of left-wing parties and opposition associations, including communists and socialists, trade union activists, representatives of associations in support of Cuba and Palestine," the press service reports.
Mauro Murgia, on behalf of the people of South Ossetia, expressed solidarity with the authorities and the people of Venezuela and protested against blatant interference in the internal affairs of the sovereign state.
Isaias Rodriguez, Ambassador of Venezuela to Italy, expressed his gratitude for the solidarity with the people of Venezuela.
