The first document signed at the Yalta International Economic Forum was the Agreement on Cooperation between the Crimea and South Ossetia.
The head of the Crimea, Sergey Aksenov, and President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, signed the Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation for 2019-2022. The document signing ceremony took place on Thursday within the framework of the V Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF).
"We continue the cooperation that was established between the Crimea and South Ossetia. We formalized our relations with South Ossetia. We are in constant contact and communication. Our businessmen have already visited South Ossetia, and South Ossetian entrepreneurs - the Republic of Crimea. We help those who ready to start a business on the peninsula, "said Aksenov.
In turn, Anatoly Bibilov has expressed confidence that the steps that the Crimea and South Ossetia are taking towards each other will contribute to an even closer approach and deepen cooperation between the republics.
Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic - Permanent Representative of the Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov previously reported that Crimea could share with South Ossetia the experience in the development of agriculture, in particular viticulture, the processing of essential oil crops for the cosmetic and perfume industries, as well as in the development of tourism.
The delegation of South Ossetia took part in last year’s forum in Yalta, then Aksenov and Bibilov signed a protocol on bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation. This was the first cooperation document between South Ossetia and the Republic of Crimea.
