From the height of today, this political victory of the Ossetian diplomacy should rightfully be considered a feat in the name of the future of its people.
Today, the embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, established 270 years after these historical events, is the historical successor of the first embassy of Ossetia in St. Petersburg and continues with dignity and honor the general line worked out by its outstanding predecessors - the alliance with Russia.
