Arm-wrestling world champion Arsen Khabalov was met at the Ruk tunnel on the border of South Ossetia according to the Ossetian custom - with three cakes and a glass of beer. Arsen was congratulated by representatives of the public and his relatives, the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism said.
At the world championship held in the Romanian city of Constanta, the ward of a coach Valery Dzhioev won in the weight class up to 70 kg.
“In my weight were 20 athletes from around the world. Among them were representative of Uzbekistan- the winner of the world championship, and the athlete from Georgia, the winner of the European championship. I also defeated them. I am very glad that I won the gold medal. Last year I was the second, and then I told myself that I must improve my result by all means,” said Arsen Khabalov.
