At the Geneva discussions, South Ossetia will rigidly raise the question of Georgia’s responsibility for the Ossetian genocide and seek its recognition from the international community,” said President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov in his message on Wednesday.

“Countering Georgian encroachments on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of South Ossetia remains one of the most important areas of our foreign policy. To this end, our representatives continue to participate in the work of the existing negotiation platforms to promote the positions of South Ossetia. In particular, at the Geneva discussions, we intend to rigidly raise the issue of Georgia’s responsibility for the genocide of the Ossetian people ...”, the head of state said.

According to him, taking into account the fact that the Georgian authorities do not abandon their revenge plans, refusing to sign an agreement on the non-use of force and organizing new provocations in the border zone, the Republic’s authorities consider it necessary to continue further strengthening the state borders of South Ossetia.

“We will do everything to ensure the inviolability of our borders, using the opportunities we have,” he said.
