The dialogue with South Ossetia is quite well established and we intend to jointly solve the existing problems, said Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sergei Nazarov during the working meeting in Tskhinval on the issues of socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia.
“Fortunately, we understand what we need to do together for socio-economic development of the Republic. We, on the part of Russia, will undoubtedly make every effort for this, and I think that all your colleagues are also aiming at this,” Nazarov said addressing the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov.
According to Nazarov, "the problematic issues that are at the stage of solution were assessed."
“We probably outlined those ways of solving problematic issues that are also under discussion, and the faster and more efficiently we solve them, the faster the residents will feel the results of our meetings,” the deputy minister stressed.
Anatoly Bibilov, in turn, has noted that Sergei Nazarov is very familiar with South Ossetia, and he knows about problematic issues, as well as steps that are being taken for the development of the Republic in terms of implementing the Investment Program and socio-economic development of the Republic.
“We cannot discuss anything new, except for future planning. Of course, the most serious starting points for the development of the Republic are the Investment Program, an increase in salaries for employees of the state civil service, as well as state employees, an agreement on the latter will be signed in a few days. It is necessary to take steps to facilitate the movement of goods and transport facilities which we will also discuss. In general, I think that the integration processes that are laid down in the agreement between South Ossetia and Russia in 2015 are being implemented, which cannot but rejoice,” he said.
The President has noted that the positive steps that have been taking place since Russia's recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia are being implemented.
“We are moving forward, and I am sure this forward movement will increase,” the head of state noted, expressing gratitude to the Russian Federation and Russian colleagues for the assistance provided to the Republic in terms of implementing the Investment Program, building infrastructure facilities, schools, kindergartens, roads, etc.
