The South Ossetian delegation is taking part in the events to mark the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod.

headed by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development Dzambolat Tadtaev is at the anniversary of the city on the invitation of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin.
The celebrations are being held in all districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region from August 19 to August 21.
According to Dzambolat Tadtaev, cooperation between South Ossetia and the Nizhny Novgorod region has a long history and is friendly in nature.
"We have long-standing friendly relations with Nizhny Novgorod. It is enough to recall how our friends from Nizhny Novgorod immediately reacted to the disaster of South Ossetia after the Georgian military aggression in 2008. Then several convoys with humanitarian aid for the population arrived from Nizhny Novgorod. And in 2010, we signed a cooperation agreement, within the framework of which a number of events were held that strengthened our partnership," Tadtayev said.
According to him, at present, joint work is also underway to enhance interaction, the parties are working on a joint Roadmap for the implementation of the Agreement, which will strengthen both economic and cultural and humanitarian ties between the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Republic of South Ossetia.
"The spheres of industrial production, agriculture, processing and mutual supply of fruits and vegetables, small and medium-sized businesses, tourism and sports, education, youth and social policy are of mutual practical interest," he stressed.
As noted, within the framework of the visit to Nizhny Novgorod, meetings with representatives of the executive power will be held in order to consider the possibility of holding new joint events.
