The action on the International Day of the Missing - August 30 will be held in Tskhinval, according to the representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in South Ossetia.
"The event will take place on Monday at 19:30 on the square in front of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tskhinval, residents of the Republic will be able to light candles in memory of their relatives and friends.
Everyone can join the action and express their solidarity with the families of the missing, "the ICRC mission said.
The action is being carried out by the Committee of the Missing People of South Ossetia with the assistance of the ICRC representative office in the Republic.
It should be reminded that last year a memorial to the missing was erected in the park in front of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Tskhinval.
Since the early 1990s, 130 people are listed missing in South Ossetia, after the war in August 2008 - seven.
