The Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia announced on Thursday the appointment of its representative in the Republic of Turkey.
"By order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated January 10, 2022, a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Turkey Khosity Burhan (Canpolat Burhan) was appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Turkey," the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has noted.
Brief biographical information:
Khosity Burhan was born on September 22, 1950 in Turkey in the city of Sivas, Central Anatolia region.
In 1973 he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University.
Until 1992, he was working as an auditor in various business structures.
Since 1993 he has been heading his own audit firm.
In 1971-1972. – a Member of the Board of the Society of Caucasian Culture, founded in 1970 in Istanbul.
In 1989, Khosity Burhan became one of the founders of the Alan Society of Ossetians of Turkey in Istanbul.
In 1994, he was elected a Chairman of the Society of Ossetians of Turkey "Alan".
In 1996-1997 - Representative of the Society of Ossetians of Turkey "Alan" in the Caucasian-Abkhaz Solidarity Committee in Istanbul.
In 2007, as part of the delegation of the Turkish branch of the All-Ossetian People's Public Movement "Styr Nykhas", he took part in the VI World Congress of the Ossetian People in Tskhinval, where he was presented with a passport of a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia.
In 2008, together with Remzi Kanukati, he headed the Ossetian-Caucasian People's Committee of Solidarity, formed at the height of the Georgian aggression. The Committee did a great deal of informational work to cover the events in South Ossetia and bringing truthful information to the world community, as well as to provide humanitarian assistance to those who suffered during the war.
Khosity Burhan has the state awards of the Republic of South Ossetia.
