On Tuesday, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov presented the state awards to employees of the South Ossetian State Drama Theater. The ceremony was timed to coincide with the International Theater Day celebrated on March 27.
“Honorary titles, diplomas, thanks - all the awards that the theater workers of South Ossetia received today are a well-deserved gratitude from the entire Ossetian people. With great pleasure, I have presented the state awards to the employees of the State Drama Theater. Kosta Khetagurova,” President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov has written on his telegram channel.
According to him, in order to comprehend the soul of the theater, you need to see at least once what happens behind the scenes.
“I was lucky to see how actors, directors, artists, technical staff are working. It is a huge work to create the images described by the classics of world literature, the classics of the Ossetian drama. And this work, every time ennobles the viewer, giving the beauty of art to this world.
Many thanks to all the staff of our theater for the fact that we have the opportunity to join the art. We have done a lot for the development of the theatre, but you have filled it with soul,” the President has stressed.
Anatoly Bibilov has noted that if an actor is recognized as a People's Artist in South Ossetia, he automatically becomes a People's Artist of North Ossetia.
“And the head of North Ossetia-Alania, Sergei Ivanovich Menyailo, completely agrees with me on this.
Therefore, today several artists have received the titles of People's Artists, as I would say, the entire Ossetia. I sincerely congratulate you on this.
Please continue to create, inspiring us and bringing light and beauty to this world,” the head of state said.
