The parliamentary delegation of South Ossetia told about the results of a three-day visit to the Federation Council to the President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev. The head of the Republic listened to the deputies and expressed hope for a positive solution to all the issues raised with the Russian colleagues.
For two days, deputies of the Parliament of South Ossetia, within the framework of the commission on cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Federation Council, were working with Russian colleagues on solving problems with the import of vehicles across the Russian-South Ossetian border, discussed measures to combat coronavirus infection and legislative support for the implementation of the alliance and integration agreement.
The head of the parliamentary health committee, Alexander Pliev, discussed with colleagues the issues of organizing medical care, including sanatorium treatment for citizens of South Ossetia who need infertility treatment in specialized medical institutions of the Russian Federation.
The Chairman of the parliamentary committee on industry, construction, transport and natural resources, Alan Alborov, raised the problems that the population has with obtaining temporary import.
“Customs officers check the double registration of citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia. According to the customs code of the EAEU, citizens of South Ossetia, when providing a passport of a citizen of South Ossetia, confirm the status of a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia and additional clarifications on the presence of a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia of a Russian residence permit at customs is an illegal action,” Alborov explained at the meeting of the Federation Council.
The colleagues approved the commission's work plan for the current year. In particular, they agreed to ensure the implementation of the agreement between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia on alliance and integration in the legislative sphere, as well as holding events for the exchange of experience and information on the issues of the Russian-South Ossetian inter-parliamentary cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations.
The head of the South Ossetian delegation, Zaza Driyaev, held a separate meeting with Grigory Karasin, the head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
The parliamentarians discussed a number of issues with Secretary of State, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of Russia Andrey Pudov.
The parliamentary delegation on a working trip was headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Inter-parliamentary Relations Zaza Dryaev.
It should be reminded that the next meeting of the Commission will be held in Tskhinval this autumn.
