Acting Minister of Defense of South Ossetia Vladimir Pukhaev presented departmental awards to servicemen from South Ossetia - participants in the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces to protect Donbass, the press service of the defense department of the Republic reports.
Medals "For military valor II degree" were awarded to servicemen of the 4th Russian military base stationed in South Ossetia. During the special operation, the fighters showed bravery and courage in carrying out combat missions, received injuries of varying severity.
The head of the defense department has noted that representatives of South Ossetia as part of Russian units from the first days of the special operation have demonstrated adherence to national military traditions, fulfilling their duties with honor and dignity.
“The command of the special operation highly appreciates the actions of the units, staffed mainly by our fighters. We know that in battles you demonstrate fearlessness, courage and military prowess, you are always on the front lines when performing the most difficult combat missions. The younger generations, your peers and, of course, the older generations are proud of your feet,” he said and expressed gratitude to the fighters on behalf of the personnel of the department.
Vladimir Pukhaev stressed that the command of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic considers it necessary to encourage each participant in the special operation from South Ossetia, who has shown himself in a worthy manner.
“By presenting you with medals, we pay tribute to the heroism that you show everywhere. Not a single fighter should be left without a reward,” he has stressed.
The head of the Ministry of Defense asked the fighters to include in the lists for awarding all comrades who showed themselves worthily during the special operation
State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense Vadim Siukaev, in turn, noted the high performance of Ossetian fighters on the front line. He expressed special gratitude to the parents of the servicemen, who "raised the worthiest sons of the Fatherland."
