President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met on Friday with deputies and the staff of the Parliament. The head of state congratulated those present on the occasion of the formation of the Parliament of the Republic, having noted that on December 9, 1990, a historic step was taken that changed the life of the South Ossetian people.
“Since then, in the modern history of our country, those who were elected to the first deputies began to lay the foundation. We had to go through many difficult situations. Each convocation of the Parliament has written itself into history, invested its work in the development of the state. Today's deputies, the Parliamentary staff solve the issues facing our citizens. I congratulate you on the holiday, I wish you to continue serving your country,” said Gagloev.
The President has noted that the government, Parliament and people are working for one common cause.
“And if we cooperate, then the issues facing us will quickly find a solution. I told you at our first meeting and I will repeat now - I am ready to cooperate with the parliament, work together and improve the life of our younger generation,” the President said.
For their great personal contribution to the development of the legislative system of the Republic of South Ossetia and in connection with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the Parliament, deputies Ibrahim Valiev, Malkhaz Gagloev, Vitaly Ikoev and Ruslan Khudzhiev were awarded medals "In commemoration of the decade of victory in the Patriotic War of the people of South Ossetia."
Members of the Parliament's staff were also awarded medals and certificates of honor.
