President Alan Gagloev met with bronze medalist of the European Freestyle Wrestling Championship Arsen Dzhioev, the press service of the head of state reported on Thursday.
The athlete’s first coach, Honored Coach of the Republic of South Ossetia Tamerlan Kochiev, also took part in the meeting.
Alan Gagloev noted the wrestler’s high sporting achievements, having emphasized that his achievements are important and significant for our state.
“You glorify the Ossetian people, your Motherland. We rejoice at your successes together. I wish you further success and victories,” the President said.
The head of state thanked the entire coaching staff of the athlete. He addressed special words of gratitude to the first coach of Arsen Dzhioev, Honored Coach of the Republic of South Ossetia Tamerlan Kochiev.
“You are making invaluable contribution to the education of a worthy younger generation. Your alumni always take prizes, glorifying Ossetia,” noted Alan Gagloev.
For outstanding sporting achievements and successful performance at the European Freestyle Wrestling Championship, the President awarded Arsen Dzhioev with the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The European Championship was being held in Bucharest from February 16-18. Arsen Dzhioev plays for the Azerbaijani national team.
