On Thursday, a memorial stand dedicated to the students of the educational institution who perished during the special military operation was opened at the Tskhinval secondary school No 5.
The event was attended by Minister of Education and Science Aslan Lolaev, the 2nd Secretary of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia Jan Schwartz, members of Parliament, representatives of the Defense Ministry, relatives and friends of the victims, members of the special military operation, etc.
At the beginning of the event, director of the educational institution, Madina Tuaeva, noted that the event was dedicated to the memory of students who perished heroically in the special military operation zone in Ukraine.
“Today we are opening a memorial stand for the students of our school, we grieve for their lives cut short early and bow deeply to their feat in the name of peace on earth,” the director said.
Tuaeva has noted that these guys will forever remain the example of firmness and fortitude for the younger generation.
“They demonstrated a worthy example of patriotism and service to the Fatherland, we need to look up to them. Their feat is the example of courage for all generations, and our memory will forever preserve their names. Eternal memory to them,” Tuaeva added.
The director has also expressed gratitude to the parents and teachers who endowed the guys with the best human qualities.
The honorary right to open the stand was given to the representative of the Defense Ministry, the grandson of the USSR hero Grigory Sabanov, Inal Sabanov, and the special military operation participant Rudik Dzhioev.
Aslan Lolaev has noted during the event that it is the duty and responsibility of everyone to remember the names of fallen heroes.
“It is our duty to hold high the names of our heroes and never forget them; I want to express my gratitude to our parents for raising such heroes,” Lolaev said.
He also thanked the management and the entire school staff for their support of the All-Russian action “Hero’s Desk”.
Member of Parliament Roza Valieva emphasized that South Ossetia stood next to brotherly Russia in order to share the pain felt by Russian soldiers and Russian mothers.
“Patriotism is a character trait of the Alan people, the people who will never retreat. Your children are heroes, we will always remember them,” Valieva said.
The head teacher of the school, Nona Tedeeva, has noted that there is no worse grief in this world than the loss of one’s own child.
“This is irreparable loss and pain for every parent. The hardest path is the path to the grave of a loved one. We, the teachers and students of the fifth school, have also survived this loss,” the head teacher shared. “Our students gave their lives with honor and courage in the fight against fascism in Ukraine, they fought for a peaceful sky and a bright future.”
Tedeeva has clarified that no matter how life at school changes, “a stand in memory of the heroes will remain here forever.”
She said that currently there are about 30 graduates of school No. 5 at the special military operation.
“God grant that everyone returns safe and sound to their family and friends,” she concluded.
During the event, the school students read out biographies of the fallen warriors and also recited poems dedicated to the fighters.
The stand is dedicated to the heroes - participants in the special military operation, graduates of school No. 5 - Andrei Bakaev, Alan Bagaev, Azamat Bestaev, Soslan Gabaraev, Bagrat Gassiev, Marat Dzhioev, Ruslan Kaziev and Alan Tedeev.
