The performance of the Boris Galaev State Song and Dance Group “Simd” in Moscow became a significant event in the cultural life of South Ossetia, Minister of Culture of the Republic Rada Dzagoeva has noted at the press conference in Tskhinval.
“In 2004, our State Song and Dance Group “Simd” performed on the same Pyotr Tchaikovsky stage. Over 20 years, more than one generation of dancers of the creative team has changed. Now a new line-up has already performed, which, in my opinion, adequately represented the national culture on such a serious platform,” Dzagoeva said.
She has added that the concert was held as part of the program of exchange cultural events between Russia and South Ossetia.
“We were received at a high level; our every wish was taken into account. There was a very warm attitude towards South Ossetia and representatives of our culture,” the Minister has noted.
The head of the Ministry of Culture emphasized that the team of the Group “Simd” has done serious work in recent years and has shown significant progress.
