The South Ossetian athletes took eight awards from the Adygea “Heroes Cup” championship in all-style and koshiki karate dedicated to the special military operation, the coach Alan Gabatov told IA “Res”.
According to him, the highest awards were taken by Vladimir Kabisov, who competed in Koshiki karate and finished the fight with a knockout, Lera Kudukhova in all-style karate and Oleg Dzhioev in Koshiki karate.
“Many of my athletes participated in away competitions for the first time, but demonstrated excellent skills,” the coach said.
The second places were taken by Marat Sanakoev, Dayana Dzhioeva, Denis Dzhioev and Anastasia Ubozhenko. And Elizaveta Valieva became the third in the competition.
“In addition, Denis Dzhioev took the “Unbroken in Spirit” Cup. He had a spectacular fight with a strong opponent, losing to him by only one point. The judges were impressed by Dzhioev’s fight,” Gabatov has noted.
More than 350 athletes from different regions of Russia took part in the competition, including Donetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, etc.
