The passing of Bulat Gazdanov is a great loss for the entire Ossetian people, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has noted in his telegram of condolences to the family and friends of the patriarch of the Ossetian musical art.
The famous musician, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and the Republic of South Ossetia died on Monday at the age of 89.
Gagloev has emphasized that a faithful son of the Ossetian people, a talented composer, the unrivaled accordionist and conductor, a teacher and a wise mentor of youth has passed away.
"Bulat Gappoevich's contribution to the development and enrichment of the Ossetian culture cannot be overestimated; by his work, he managed to write a bright page in the history of national culture. Bulat Gappoevich devoted all his talent to the preservation and creation of unique works of national Ossetian musical folklore, glorifying his native Ossetia,” the telegram reads.
The leader of the RSO expressed his deep condolences to all the relatives and friends of Bulat Gappoevich in connection with their grief.
