The number of airspace violations in South Ossetia has significantly decreased, Deputy Defense Minister Vadim Siukaev said at the press conference in Tskhinval.

He has noted that a year ago, it was possible to frequently observe Georgian unmanned aerial vehicles entering the territory of the Republic, which were carrying out certain military purposes, conducting aerial reconnaissance and aerial photography.

“Now, the Georgian UAV flights are sporadic, even despite the fact that the number of unmanned aerial vehicles in Georgia has increased significantly over the year, since the military-industrial complex there now independently produces these devices,” Siukaev has noted.

The Deputy Minister has emphasized that airspace violations have become less frequent due to the activities carried out by the defense departments and the 4th military base in cooperation with the Russian armed forces.
