South Ossetia will take part in the international congress on medical rehabilitation

Chairman of the South Ossetian Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare Alexander Pliev will take part in the VIII International Congress "Balneotherapy in Spa Treatment and Medical Rehabilitation Programs" in Moscow.

The event will be held on March 20-21 in Moscow and will be timed to coincide with the World Water Day, the press service of the legislative body reports.

As noted by Alexander Pliev, the event will be attended by Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, as well as representatives of foreign countries.

According to him, the Congress will be held at the medical research center for rehabilitation and balneology.

Pliev has emphasized that this event is of great importance for South Ossetia, since the creation of health resorts, rehabilitation centers, balneology and other medical and preventive institutions on the territory of the Republic is one of the priority areas of development.

"We have developed quite close friendly and business relations with this university. last December , we already held a meeting on this topic. The first steps were discussed, a roadmap was drawn up, according to which we can begin to act," said Pliev.

According to him, the medical center is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to South Ossetia.

"They have excellent specialists who can come and study our capabilities and natural resources. There is also the opportunity to train specialists in rehabilitation and balneology on the basis of their center. That is, we can send our doctors for retraining as specialists in this field," the parliamentarian has noted.

The head of the Committee has emphasized that South Ossetia has all the possibilities for creating health resort treatment.

"We have excellent water resources, including mineral ones, as well as recreation, recovery and rehabilitation areas, given our geographical location and climatic conditions. Moreover, one of the main messages of our President during the meeting with Mikhail Murashko was aimed at creating rehabilitation centers in South Ossetia, and the Russian Minister of Health expressed understanding on this issue," Pliev has noted.

He has added that the conference participants from South Ossetia will also be Deputy Minister of Health Alena Pukhaeva, Head of the Department for Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health Madina Kokaeva and Professor of the Department of Medicine and Chemistry of South Ossetia State University Tsiala Dzhioeva.
