This significant day symbolizes the unity, freedom, and determination of the Crimeans to independently determine their own destiny, noted South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev in his congratulatory message to the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, on the Republic Day.
"The choice of the majority of residents of Crimea and Sevastopol, based on the principles of democracy and free expression, was the important step in restoring historical justice.
The return of Crimea to the Russian Federation was a significant milestone in the peninsula's history, opening a new chapter of development and prosperity.
Over the past years, the Republic of Crimea, with its rich cultural heritage and unique natural beauty, has achieved significant success in socio-economic sphere, infrastructure construction, healthcare, education, and culture," the message reads.
According to Gagloev, South Ossetia and Crimea enjoy close and friendly relations.
"I express hope for further fruitful cooperation, which will contribute to strengthening friendship and developing mutually beneficial ties between our republics," the President said.
He wished Aksyonov good health and continued success in all his endeavors for the benefit of the Republic of Crimea, peace, well-being, and prosperity to every resident.
