Interstate relations between South Ossetia and Nauru, which are of mutual interest, will continue to develop and expand, President Alan Gagloev has noted in his congratulatory message to President of Nauru David Adeang on the Independence Day.
"This important, fateful event on January 31, 1968, in the history of the Republic of Nauru laid the foundation for the construction of a sovereign country and became a symbol of national unity, freedom, and the desire for prosperity.
Today, the Republic of Nauru is celebrating this significant date as a mature state, building a dignified future for its people and confidently strengthening its position in the international community," the message reads.
People of South Ossetia will always remember with gratitude the invaluable support provided by the Republic of Nauru, the head of state has noted.
He wished the President of Nauru good health, boundless energy, new achievements, and the fulfillment of all his plans, and the people of the Republic peace, success, and prosperity.
