Sergey Kiriyenko is the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia.
He came to the place where cars are checked at the border. This place is called the Lower Zaramag automobile checkpoint.
They discussed how to improve and develop the automobile checkpoint. Sergey Kiriyenko was accompanied by the Head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyailo.
This is one of the strategically important facilities that connects Russia and South Ossetia.
Hundreds of people cross the border every day. Thanks to the modernization, the throughput capacity of the checkpoint will be significantly increased.
Equipment for checking cars has been installed at the border. The passport check booths have also been replaced. The checkpoint also has a "Time on the Road" system. This system shows drivers how much time they need to cross the border.
