Anatoly Bibilov attended a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Security Service Employees. He has noted that the KGB officers always performed tasks of ensuring the security of the Soviet Union with great professionalism, and the KGB of the RSO since its creation has adequately managed to ensure the security of South Ossetia.

The delegation of the Lugansk People's Republic, headed by President Leonid Pasechnik, came South Ossetia on a three-day official visit. The head of the LPR was accompanied by his wife Natalia Pasechnik. All negotiations took place the day before, according to their results on Wednesday the heads of South Ossetia and the LPR signed a Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance. The European Court of Human Rights refused 7 out of 1,500 citizens of South Ossetia to consider claims against Georgia on the events of military aggression in August 2008,told Res agency Inal Tasoev, Presidential Commissioner of South Ossetia for human rights.

The European Court of Human Rights announced on Thursday that did not see any grounds for accepting several lawsuits in which the residents of Tskhinval accused the Georgian armed forces of life-threatening actions.

As noted in the court’s press release, the ECHR will not consider two of the three lawsuits filed by residents of the Republic of South Ossetia against Georgia on the events of August 2008.

South Ossetian expert Inal Pliev has commented on the decision of the European Court of Human Rights, which announced on Thursday that there were no reasons for accepting several lawsuits in which the residents of Tskhinval accused Georgian armed forces of considering life-threatening actions:

On December 11-12, 2018,in Geneva took place the 46th Round of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, held in accordance with the August 12 and September 8, 2008 Medvedev-Sarkozy agreements.
