The Russian-South Ossetian Economic Forum «Construction of the modern state through working economy» will take place in South Ossetia. As the State Adviser of the President of the RSO Nugzar Gabaraev has informed the news agency "Res", the forum is timed to the Day of Republic and will pass on September, 2, 2011 in Tskhinval.
Award presentation of the South-Ossetian schoolboys – the winners of the International festival of children's art creativity «First in Space»- which passed in Moscow, has taken place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in South Ossetia. In warm friendly atmosphere the schoolboys and their teachers have been welcomed by the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the RSO Elbrus Kargiev and the representative of the Russian Cooperation in the RSO Mikhail Stepanov. According to Elbrus Kargiev, all diplomatic workers have marked a great interest of the South-Ossetian people to processes occurring in the Russian Federation. «We feel especial interest on the part of youth that makes us glad. It is the display of high respect, love and friendship of people of South Ossetia towards people of Russia.
Today the International day of the missing people is marked in South Ossetia. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the RSO on human rights David Sanakoev has told the correspondent of the news agency "Res" about the work on finding out the fate of the missing citizens of South Ossetia, «For today 150 persons are considered as the missing ones since 1989 - 2008, - Sanakoev has said. -More than 100 citizens disappeared in the territory of South Ossetia. The others –are the ethnic Ossetians who lived in the territory of Georgia and disappeared there».
Today, on August, 29, within the frames of celebrating the Independence Recognition Day of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation, the role of Russia in the process of preserving peace and stability in the Southern Caucasus has been discussed at the round table organized by the South-Ossetian branch of the noncommercial organization of the Development Fund -the «Institute of the Eurasian Researches» in Tskhinval.
Two citizens of Georgia, arrested for illegal crossing of the frontier of South Ossetia last week, have been expelled from the Republic. It has been informed the news agency "Res" at the KGB of the RSO press-service. «A citizen of Georgia Alexander Majsuradze, an inhabitant of the village Ditsi of Goriyskiy region, Georgia, 1959 year of birth, has been expelled from the Republic of South Ossetia according to the RSO Law of the state border, article 14, part 4» , - has been noted at the press-service.
The investigatory subdivision of the KGB RSO has brought an action against two citizens of Georgia, arrested while making an attempt of violating the state border of South Ossetia according to item 2, article 322 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation (illegal crossing of frontier). It has been reported to the News agency "Res" by the KGB RSO press-service. «Now citizens of Georgia are placed in the detention centre, investigatory actions are being carried out with them», - has been noted at the press-service.
The delegation of the youth wing of the South-Ossetian political party "Unity" –The Young Guards- is taking part in the North Caucasian Youth forum «.MASHUK -2011». The world changes and Georgia should adopt the experience of Serbia in mutual relations with the republics which have become the part of it by Stalin's decision in the beginning of the XX century. The South-Ossetian political scientist Dina Alborova, carrying out the comparative analysis between the latest developments in Serbia and Georgia, has come to this conclusion «This week the first interstate,- I should underline,- treaty has been signed between Serbia and Kosovo and has facilitateв life of the grassroots living in these countries. Certainly, it would be perfect, if such contract was signed between South Ossetia and Georgia. It seems to me that this year nothing like this will happen, but nevertheless it is necessary to think about that the world changes, and we can always appeal to the experience of mutual relations of Serbia and Kosovo», - has underlined Alborova in conversation with the correspondent of the news agency "Res". In her opinion, that Serbia has taken this step testifies that Belgrade has realized inevitability of the definitive international recognition of Kosovo.
The concert of the Caucasian variety stars «The Ode to Tskhinval» will pass today in the capital of South Ossetia -Tskhinval. As the news agency "Res" has been informed at the organizing committee of cultural actions, the concert will take place within the limits of the ceremonial decoration of the President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity with a gold order and awarding him honorary title of «the Holder of the international order «Knight of honour."
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is considering a question on rendering assistance to the inhabitants of the regions of South Ossetia which has suffered from flood. It has been informed the news agency "Res" by the head of the ICRC press-service Maria Tedety. As she has said, after the flood the ICRC representatives have immediately left in Znaurskiy and Leningorskiy region to estimate the degree of the damage.
