ICRC considers a question of rendering aid to the inhabitants of the RSO region

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is considering a question on rendering assistance to the inhabitants of the regions of South Ossetia which has suffered from flood. It has been informed the news agency "Res" by the head of the ICRC press-service Maria Tedety. As she has said, after the flood the ICRC representatives have immediately left in Znaurskiy and Leningorskiy region to estimate the degree of the damage.

«We have received the detailed information from heads of administrations of these regions about the damage from the flood. Now we are waiting for the lists of the families, which have suffered from the flood and also for the information what they would like to receive from us», - Tedety has told. It is known that the road infrastructure has also suffered from the flood, but, according to the interlocutor of the agency, the ICRC cannot assist in this question. We should remind that the flood has taken place in the regions of South Ossetia in the result of strong storm rains. Because of overflow of the rivers Prone and Ashkhadur constructions and apartment houses have suffered, property of the citizens, including furniture, utensils subjects and clothes has become unfit for use.
