The capital of the Republic of South Ossetia has undergone massed shelling

The capital of South Ossetia, Tskhinval, has undergone massed shelling from artillery and small arms. Under the preliminary information from the department on duty of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RSO, the shelling was conducted on the southern quarters of the town; however the explosions are heard practically in all the areas.

Georgia continues interfering with the normal work of UNHCR of the United Nations

The Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict from the south-ossetian side Boris Chochiev has accepted the head of the Mission of UNHCR of the United Nations in Georgia Peter Nikolaus and the adviser on legal questions of the Mission of UNHCR of the United Nations in Georgia Christopher Blevrit.

«In South Ossetia they are not surprised by the events in Georgia and the revelations of Okruashvili have not opened anything new to us», the president of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokojty has declared to the correspondent of the agency «Res», making comments on the political processes, occuring in Georgia and, in particular, the statements of the former Minister of Defence of Georgia Iraklij Okruashvili, directed against the president Saakashvili.
