The exhibition of Ossetian artists in Moscow was highly appreciated- Radion Pukhaev

April 8-22 in Moscow was being held an exhibition of works by Ossetian artists "Arv-Art", "Reflection of Europe."
About the idea of organizing this exhibition, the works presented, as well as future plans told the organizer of the event, the head of the international non-profit association «Renaissance Sandidzan» Radion Pukhaev in an interview with news agency "Res"

- Tell us more about the Moscow exhibition of Ossetian artists, about the idea of its organization?
- April 8 in Moscow in the exhibition hall of the Union of Russian Artists was opened an exhibition of Ossetian artists "Arv-Art." Reflection of Europe." The exhibition was opened by the first secretary of the "Union of Russian Artists", People's Artist of Russia, a full member and a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, a laureate of the State Prize of Russia Nikolai Borovsky and Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Madina Ostaeva.
This exhibition is a kind of summing up of the five years of the "Days of Ossetian culture in Europe" All the artists participating for five years in the Days of Culture, have displayed their impressions of Europe. Some works were based on sketches made in the open air and master classes in European cities.
The exhibition was organized by our organization. The curator of the exhibition is a talented artist Vadim Pukhaev.
What about the idea of organizing this exhibition, I cannot remember it exactly. When we organize a great number of events, we have to consider a variety of options. When in Flanders I have seen Dutch windmills, narrow old streets and canals of Bruges and Ghent in the paintings of our artists, it was firmly decided that all these things should be seen here in Ossetia. And we started from Moscow. There we have received high appraisal and commendations from the leadership of the Union of Artists of Russia and the visitors.

- Whose paintings are presented at the exhibition and what are the subjects depicted?
- At the exhibition "Reflection of Europe" are presented the paintings by artists such as Shalva Bedoev, Magrez Kelekhsaev, Yuri Abisalov, Vadim Pukhaev, Laverty Kasoev, Oleg Basayev Akhsar Yesenov, Vadim Kajaev, Vladimir Aylarov, Robert Karkusov, Boris Gabaraev, Sophia Kodoeva and Akhsar Akhpolov. Some regular participants of our events in Europe could not take part due to technical reasons. Artists living in Europe were not able to deliver their work to Moscow.
Topics of the work were very diverse, ranging from landscapes and images of iconic places in Europe, to deeply philosophical research.

- How many exhibits were presented at the exhibition?

- It has been exhibited more than 80 paintings. I want to say that our artists continue to work to implement their ideas. Moreover, the "Days of Ossetian culture in Europe" will start in May, five artists will take part in it for the first time, others who have previously participated in the events, expect new countries and cities. So the work will continue and the exhibition "Arv-Art ". Reflection of Europe" will be updated with new artists and new works.
I would like to thank for supporting our exhibition Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Madina Ostaeva, the Union of Artists of Russia and North Ossetia-Alania, curator Vadim Pukhaev, the staff of the Permanent Mission of North Ossetia-Alania under the President of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, David Sanakoev and Sergey Takoev, who traditionally support our activities.

- What are your future plans?

- In early May in Ankara and Istanbul will be premiered Ossetian feature film "Mine," by well-known director Murat Dzhusoyty, will also be held a series of recitals with the authors and actors of the film.
May 16 in Brussels with the Roundtable of the creative intelligentsia of Ossetia and Europe with representatives of Ossetian Diaspora in European countries will begin the main event of the "Days of Ossetian culture", followed by the European premiere of the feature film by Murat Dzhusoyty "Mine", the opening of the exhibition by Ossetian artists "Arv-Art" and the reception in honor of starting the European events.
May 23 in France in Montmedi will open another exhibition within the framework of the "Arv-Art" and will begin its work the open air by the Ossetian and European artists. It is also scheduled the meeting of the artists with the leadership of the city.
May 25 in Luxembourg will open one more exhibition by Ossetian artist "Arv-Art" and will be premiered a documentary film by Vadim Tsalikov "Farewell, Aswan."

In autumn is planned a series of events in Rome and Paris, maybe, also in Beijing.
The days of Ossetian culture in 2015 will be completed in Vladikavkaz in early December by opening the exhibition "Arv-Art. Reflection of Europe".

If the PACE is really interested in the settlement of relations between Georgia and South Ossetia, it could have an impact on Georgia- Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia

April 23 in the media was issued an announcement that the PACE had established a new subcommittee, which would deal with the "frozen conflicts" among the member countries of the Council of Europe, including South Ossetia.
In this regard, the correspondent of the Agency "Res" asked for comment the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of the RSO for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev:

Firstly, there has never been a conflict in South Ossetia. It was Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia on the background of the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was the intention of the Georgian authorities to hold on the territory of South Ossetia by force without the Ossetian population, ie the territory, which was included in the GSSR by the Soviet government, from which Georgia had separated in 1990.
In the period from1989 and 2008, it was a matter of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict and its settlement, ie, the conflict between Georgia and South Ossetia. However, the end to this "conflict", actually a permanent Georgian aggression, put the 2008 war. Since then, the Republic of South Ossetia, with Russian assistance repelling the Georgian aggressors, is a recognized state, and we can talk only about the settlement of relations between the neighboring states.
But the newly established PACE subcommittee cannot deal with these issues, because the Republic of South Ossetia is not a member of the Council of Europe and the PACE do not hear the voice of our members. Let the Republic of South Ossetia to be admitted to the Council of Europe. Now all sorts of statements and attempts to "settle" are biased, one-sided and far from objectivity.
If the PACE is really interested in the settlement of relations between Georgia and South Ossetia, it could have an impact on Georgia in order that Georgia within the framework of the Geneva process may take a more constructive position to ensure security and stability in the region.
During the visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Georgia, President of Georgia and the Georgian Catholicos Patriarch have repeatedly complained about the "violation of the territorial integrity" of Georgia.
Of course, I will not comment on any visit of the President of Belarus to Georgia or bilateral Belarusian-Georgian relations. This is their sovereign right. I will focus on the fact that the Georgian authorities use every visit to their country to impose again and again the myth of the "territorial integrity" and its "violation." And, of course, the guests, many out of courtesy, agree (or pretend) with them. However, such attempts of the Georgian authorities do not have any grounds. No one has violated the "territorial integrity" of Georgia, which the international community invented after the collapse of the USSR.
It is impossible to ignore the words of the head of the Georgian Church- "a violation of the territorial integrity, it is an open wound on the body of Georgia and on the heart of every citizen of the country."
These are the words of a man who in 1989 blessed the march of the Georgian informal groups on South Ossetia, who declared the enemy of the Georgian nation anyone who killed a Georgian, regardless of whether he was guilty or not.
This Patriarch, blessing Saakashvili, who introduced a new Georgian flag, said he hoped that this flag would soon be flying over Sukhum and Tskhinval.
If the Georgian Patriarch really wanted prosperity and peace of mind for his Orthodox parishioners not to think that the body of Georgia was "bleeding", he should have called for the reality and the abandonment of territorial claims to the neighbors - I mean South Ossetia and Abkhazia, so that everybody might live in peace.
