Mairbeg Tedeev was posthumously awarded the highest state award of the Republic of South Ossetia – the Order of "Uatsamonga"

In South Ossetia, in the village of Malda in Znaur district was held a ceremony of reburial of the defender of the motherland Mairbeg Tedeev, who had been listed as missing since the war in August 2008.

The memory of the defender of the Fatherland honored the leadership of the Republic, headed by President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov, relatives of Tedeev, representatives of the ministries and agencies, as well as the public.

In his speech Leonid Tibilov has noted that the 2008 war took the lives of many Ossetians, whose names should never be forgotten.

"The Republican leadership was doing all in its power in searching for Tedeev. A huge work in this direction is done by Murat Dzhioev and Inal Tasoev, - President said. - Tedeev has passed away, but he left the hero's name, which the South Ossetian people will never forget. "

Leonid Tibilov has noted that the work to search for the missing line is still underway.

"We will continue to search for those people who came to defend their homeland, and as a result of military aggression are missing. More than 130 people are listed as missing- said the President. - For us, they are heroes. "

During the mourning rally Leonid Tibilov announced the decision to award posthumously Mairbeg Tedeev for heroism and bravery with the order of "Uatsamonga".

The President presented the Order to the seven-year-old son of a hero, noting that "Tedeev`s son must always know that his father is a hero."

On behalf of the public, and as a friend of the family at the rally spoke Zaur Kudukhov.

"Today is a dark day for all who knew Tedeev - Kudukhov said. - It is unfair when such young guys pass away. I met him when he was 18; he was kind and responsive boy. Mairbeg always tried to help people; he was a loyal friend and colleague. Today is a great loss not only for his family, but for the entire South Ossetia, the Ossetian people just because we lost a true hero, a patriot of his homeland. "

Mairbeg Tedeev was buried with military honors in his native village of Malda.

Since August 2008 Mairbeg Tedeev was listed as a missing.

Mairbeg Tedeev, born in 1979, disappeared in Tskhinval in August 9, 2008.

According to the eyewitnesses, he was wounded during the fierce fighting near the Tskhinval high school №12.

As it became known on August 21, 2008, he was buried as unidentified in the town of Mozdok.

April 19, his remains were brought to South Ossetia for reburial in his native land.
