Georgia continues to pursue destructive polic instead of addressing domestic issues and genuinely protecting the rights of its citizens, which the European institutions have recently repeatedly emphasized.

This is noted in a comment by a representative of the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the part of the Georgian Public Defender's report concerning the Republic of South Ossetia.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has emphasized that the latest report presents distorted and inaccurate information.

Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev, at the invitation of Sergey Shitkov, Director of the Diplomatic Academy at MGIMO University, took part in the 12th embassy roundtable discussion on "The Ukrainian Crisis: The West's True Goals and Role." This was reported by the Embassy press service.

The event was opened by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who in his speech presented facts demonstrating the West's destructive role in the formation of the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv and the emergence and escalation of the conflict around Ukraine.
