South Ossetia and Russia signed a protocol at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum on amending the Agreement between the governments of the two countries on the regime of trade in goods dated March 2, 2012.

The document was signed by Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia Sarmat Kotaev and Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Yevgeny Grabchak, the press service of the government of South Ossetia reports.

The change concerns the exemption from export customs duty of gasoline with an octane number of 95-98 (according to the research method).

The Embassy of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation and the High-Tech Medical Care Charity Foundation signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the SPIEF by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Znaur Gassiev and Chairman of the Foundation Council Sergey Fursenko.

As reported by the press service of the diplomatic mission, during the personal conversation the agreement was reached on providing medical assistance in prosthetics for the special military operation fighters.

The Embassy of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation and the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography signed a Memorandum within the framework of the previously signed cooperation agreement.

The document was signed in St. Petersburg at the International Economic Forum.

The memorandum was signed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Rector of the University Nadezhda Kamynina.

South Ossetian Ambassador to Russia Znaur Gassiev received in the building of the South Ossetian diplomatic mission a deputy from the United Russia party, the world champion in jiu-jitsu and grappling, the mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Jeff Monson.

Chairperson of the Union of Russian Citizens in South Ossetia Natalia Zhuykova will take part in the meeting of the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots (VKSRS).

As reported to the Res agency by Zhuykova, the event will be held at the Victory Museum in Moscow on June 17-18.

“During the meeting, it is planned to discuss the implementation of a set of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, issues of preserving historical memory and counteracting the falsification of history,” she has specified.

President of South Ossetia has received the official invitation to take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), one of the largest platforms for discussing economic cooperation and development.

“Due to his busy schedule, the head of state has decided to delegate participation in the event to Chairman of the Government,” the President’s press Secretary Natalya Bosikova told reporters.

A documentary film by Victoria Lazarova, "Gone with the Zar", will be shown in Moscow. It tells about the tragic events in South Ossetia in May 1992, known as the Zar tragedy.

The premiere of the documentary will take place at the Oktyabr cinema on Tuesday in a closed screening format.
