The President of South Ossetia has received the Russian Deputy Interior Minister

Today in Tskhinval South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has received Deputy Interior Minister of Russia Igor Zubov,
who is in the Republic on a working visit. The meeting was attended by the South Ossetian Interior Minister Akhsar
Lavoev.

The delegation of South Ossetia will take part in the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the recognition of the independence of Abkhazia

The Delegation of South Ossetia headed by Deputy Prime Minister Guram Melkoev, will participate in the celebrations of the Day of the recognition of the independence of Abkhazia by the Russian Federation. Leonid Tibilov: South Ossetia will pursue a policy of rapprochement with Russia

The President of South Ossetia met in Moscow with the head of the Russian Presidential Administration

August 22, South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov, who is on a working visit to the Russian Federation, met with the head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov.
As reported to IA "Res" by the press secretary of the President Ghana Yanovskaya, at the meeting were discussed the issues of relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, including Russia's assistance in post-war reconstruction of South Ossetia, the improvement of cooperation within the framework of the Investment program to promote socio-economic development of the Republic, gasification of the districts of the Republic, the development of the banking sector, improvement of the regulatory framework.

Ambassador of South Ossetia presented credentials to the President of Abkhazia

August 20, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev
presented credentials to the Abkhazian President Alexander Ankvab.
As IA "Res" has been reported at the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia,
Alexander Ankvab congratulated Oleg Botsiev on his appointment and wished him success in his work. In turn, the South

Four infiltrators were deported from South Ossetia

Four Georgian citizens detained in South Ossetia for violation of the border regime, have been deported to the Georgian territory. As IA "Res" was reported by the spokesman of the KGB Border Guard Service of South Ossetia Robert Gazzaev, "in accordance with the court decision, the infiltrators were fined 500 rubles, and then they were in due course handed over to the Georgian authorities."
